A Few More Bands Added To Pitchfork Music Festival

We posted the initial lineup for the Pitchfork Music Festival (July 18-20) earlier this month but they have announced a few new additions.

On Friday night, the Pitchfork Music Festival and All Tomorrow's Parties present "Don't Look Back". Along with the previously announced performance by Public Enemy, Mission of Burma will play their just-reissued 1983 post-punk classic Vs.! A third "Don't Look Back" act will be added in the coming weeks.

Other additions to the lineup include the original lineup of the legendary Dinosaur Jr., Ghostface and Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan performing together, and Jarvis Cocker, who will be making his first Midwest appearance in more than 12 years.

Also set to appear: the Apples in Stereo, Dirty Projectors, Cut Copy, Jay Reatard, King Khan & His Shrines, Fuck Buttons, the Ruby Suns, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and Chicago's own Occidental Brothers Dance Band International. [Via Pitchfork]

Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival Lineup

Another big city, another festival. The lineup has just been announced for the inaugural Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco, CA. The festival will be August 22-24 at Golden Gate Park; tickets go on sale Sunday, March 30th at 10:00 AM (PST). Tickets are $225.50 plus service charges.

ACL Lineup to Be Announced April 15

According to Austin360.com, the lineup for the 2008 Austin City Limits Festival will be announced on April 15. This comes a month earlier than last year's announcement. Tickets are onsale now and are selling at a top tier of $170 for all three days, Sept. 26- 28.

The 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival returns to Chicago's Union Park for it's yearly party. The dates this year are the weekend of July 18th-20th.

Tickets for the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival go on sale this Wednesday, March 12 at 12 p.m. CDT, and as always, they're quite inexpensive. Three-day passes will run you $65, two-day passes for Saturday and Sunday can be yours for $50, and individual day passes cost $30.
