Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011 Makes Some Awesome Additions (Spoon, Black Lips + More)

Through a tweet earlier today the amazing people behind Fun Fun Fun Fest unleashed a video to help describe their sadness in leaving Waterloo Park. At the end of the video, some incredible bands were added to the already insane lineup at this year's fest. Spoon will be performing their ONLY 2011 show and Black Lips will also be bringing their crazy antics to the FFF Fest stage. Watch the video to catch all the additions and try not to tear up...

Unfortunately student three-day passes did sell out last night but you can still purchase regular three-day passes ($135) or Pretty Important Person passes [PIP] ($270). Single day tickets ($55) go on sale September 1st.

Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011 : Guess The Fest

Please don't tell the other festivals (cover your ears ACL) but Fun Fun Fun Fest is pretty much the best. We have attended every year and it just gets better and better and we can't wait to see what they do now that they are taking over Auditorium Shores. This year the good folks at FFF are giving you a chance to attend in style and all you have to do to win is Guess The Fest! FIRST PLACE: Fly-in for you and a friend: FFF will fly you and a guest in to Austin from any major US city for FFF6. Fun Fun Fun Fest Moves to Auditorium Shores

Fun Fun Fun Fest is moving from its Waterloo Park locale to Auditorium Shores in order to accommodate a larger crowd. Expect a sweaty, tighty-whitey clad Monotonix member to perform piggyback style atop the SRV statue.

The fest is scheduled for November 5th and 6th with tickets going on sale in late May.

2010 Fun Fun Fun Fest: Lineup Leak #2

As promised, the organizers of Fun Fun Fun Fest have leaked another round of bands to play the 2-day event this upcoming Nov. 6th & 7th. In addition to the first leak, which included Best Coast, Suicidal Tendencies, and Slick Rick, this time around Snapcase, Dirty Projectors, Yelle, Cap' N Jazz, and The Gories will be joining in on the fun (pun very intended).

2010 Fun Fun Fun Fest: Lineup Leak #1

This year's Fun Fun Fun Fest (Nov. 6th-7th) have decided to start leaking a few bands from the lineup each week, with the entire lineup being announced later in August. The first lineup leak posted from a video on the FFF site includes: Best Coast, Suicidal Tendencies, and Slick Rick. [Via]

Strange Boys | "Be Brave" Video [Live at Fun Fun Fun Fest 09']

Sure it was dark and rainy but that didn't stop the Strange Boys from jamming out at last month's Fun Fun Fun Fest. Here's a live video of the band performing their first single "Be Brave" off their new album.
