Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011 Makes Some Awesome Additions (Spoon, Black Lips + More)

Through a tweet earlier today the amazing people behind Fun Fun Fun Fest unleashed a video to help describe their sadness in leaving Waterloo Park. At the end of the video, some incredible bands were added to the already insane lineup at this year's fest. Spoon will be performing their ONLY 2011 show and Black Lips will also be bringing their crazy antics to the FFF Fest stage. Watch the video to catch all the additions and try not to tear up...

Unfortunately student three-day passes did sell out last night but you can still purchase regular three-day passes ($135) or Pretty Important Person passes [PIP] ($270). Single day tickets ($55) go on sale September 1st.

Fun Fun Fun Fest | Line Up Leak #1

Today Transmission leaked five Fun Fun Fun Fest artists using the video (above) spelling out the bands with Nautical Flag Code. If you're wondering why they decided to use nautical flag code it's a nod to the bands move to the larger Auditorium Shores this year. Artists included in the leak include comedian Brian Posehn, Odd Future, Okkervil River, M83 and legendary punk band X.

Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011 : Guess The Fest

Please don't tell the other festivals (cover your ears ACL) but Fun Fun Fun Fest is pretty much the best. We have attended every year and it just gets better and better and we can't wait to see what they do now that they are taking over Auditorium Shores. This year the good folks at FFF are giving you a chance to attend in style and all you have to do to win is Guess The Fest! Just go to GuessThe Fest.com and use your Twitter or Facebook login and you get 10 guesses to predict who will be on the bill (Don't forget about comedians!). The person who gets the most correct get one of the prizes below. Contest Ends July 4th so get on it!

PRIZES:

FIRST PLACE: Fly-in for you and a friend: FFF will fly you and a guest in to Austin from any major US city for FFF6. They will hook you up with tickets, and no less than a 1 1/2 star hotel for the weekend. If you live in or around Austin they will fly in some friends of yours or replace the flight by buying you and 10 friends burgers and beer at Casino El Camino. Point is, Big Prize City and you will be the mayor.
