Editors | "You Don't Know Love" Video

"You Don't Know Love" is the second single off Editors' third album, In This Light and on This Evening. Released late last year, the album never really received a proper listen by us because we just had too much great music to listen to. That should change soon enough though, cause I really like this song. The video is kind of strange, watch for yourself.

BRMC Announces New Album, Spring 2010 North American Tour Dates

One of our favorite bands Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is set to release their fifth album, entitled Beat The Devil's Tattoo, on March 9th via their own label, Abstract Dragon. Recorded mostly in the same studio in Philadelphia as the one they used for Howl, it also marks the first album with new drummer Leah Shapiro.

Just last month the band released a live DVD which features over two hours of live concert footage from three sold out shows in Berlin, Dublin and Glasgow during 2007 while in support of Baby 81. It also includes a bonus CD that features 14 songs from the concert and a 48-page booklet of photos of the band. Purchase it here.

BRMC will hit the road starting in late February and plan to tour throughout North America until early April. They're skipping Austin this time around, but that may change since they'll be in Texas during SXSW. We'll see how that all goes down.

El Perro Del Mar | 2009 North American Fall Tour Dates :: w/ Austin date (La Zona Rosa)

Although not officially out until next Tuesday (11/20), we just received our copy of El Perro Del Mar's new album, Love Is Not Pop (pre-order it via Amazon), in the mail yesterday. Having already listened to it a few times, I would have to say the standout tracks for me would have to be "L Is for Love", "Let Me In", and my favorite, "Change of Heart" (listen down below). She even puts a soft spin on her cover of a Lou Reed track ("Heavenly Arms"), listen to the original here. Also read her take on how the album came about for her.

El Perro Del Mar will be touring North America this November and playing most of the dates with fellow Swedes Peter, Bjorn & John. They'll be making a stop here in Austin on Sunday, Nov. 15th at La Zona Rosa. Tickets ($23) are currently on sale, purchase them here.

Neon Indian | 2009 North American Fall Tour Dates :: w/ Austin date (Fun Fun Fun Fest)

Probably the only regret we have during our Monolith Festival weekend at Red Rocks a few weeks back was missing out one of Neon Indian's first live performances. Seriously it's not like we didn't try to see them. They performed on an inside stage, but it was so freaking packed that they weren't allowing anyone else in.

If you're not too familiar with Neon Indian, let us provide a little background for you. The band members are led by Alan Palomo who used to sing for Dallas-based band Ghosthustler. After the band broke up, Palomo went on to form VEGA which has synth pop sound. As if one band wasn't enough he's also added Neon Indian to his resume to show off his more lo-fi artistic side. Check out a few songs down below off Neon Indian's debut Psychic Chasms (pre-order here), which is set to drop next Tuesday (10/13) via Lefse Records.

The xx :: "Teardrops" (Womack & Womack Cover) & 2009 North American Tour Dates :: w/ Austin date (Mohawk)

We haven't been able to stop listening to the debut album from London band The xx. It will definitely be on our favorite albums of the year list, and may even end up cracking the top 5. It really is that good! The album is currently on sale at the iTunes store and even includes a bonus cover of Aaliyah's "Hot Like Fire".

We'd like to share a track with you that's not on the album. It's a cover of the 1988 song "Teardrops" by Womack & Womack (listen to the original version here), which also appeared on Elton John's Duets album in 1993 (he sang it with K.D. Lang).
