New Passion Pit | "Take a Walk" [Stream] + 2012 Summer Tour Dates

It's been far too long since we've heard anything new from Passion Pit. Well scratch that. Towards the end of July the five-piece will release their sophomore effort entitled Gossamer. The first single "Take a Walk" puts the lyrics in a more noticeable role in the mix, but still manages to sound just as catchy as everything else they've recorded.

The National Debut Two New Songs, "Rylan" & "I Need My Girl"

The National's show here in Austin this past weekend was just about perfect (we have pictures/videos to prove it). Seriously, I don't think I've ever heard Austin Music Hall sound so good. Seeing them again live further entrenches them as one of favorite bands. The only complaint (and it's a petty one) was secretly hoping the band would perform a new song or two. Well, I finally got my wish, albeit a few days later.

The band recently performed at Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio for CBC Radio Show Q, and the set included two amazing new songs entitled, "Rylan" and "I Need My Girl". Both songs are down below, so grab your headphones and enjoy. (via)

The band also performed an incredible acoustic version of "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks", with a special appearance from Bon Iver. I really loved how they finished the Austin show with this song. It was such a beautiful thing to see the entire crowd singing along.

CANT (Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear) | "Believe" [Stream]

Feist | "How Come You Never Go There?" [Stream]

It's really been far too long since we've heard from Feist. Her new album Metals drops in less than a few months time on October 4th. To tide us over until then, listen to a stream of the first song ("How Come You Never Go There?") to surface from the forthcoming album. (via)

New Neon Indian | "Polish Girl" [Stream]

Another new Neon Indian track has surfaced. Last month we posted a live video of the song "Polish Girl" and now thanks to NPR, we can hear the official song. I like the direction he seems to be taking from what I've heard so far.

Catch Neon Indian next month at the Mohawk on Friday, Sept. 23rd. Hopefully you bought tickets, because the show is already SOLD OUT!

New St. Vincent | "Surgeon" [Stream]

Annie Clark of St. Vincent
Certain people just do a great job of promoting themselves and St. Vincent is no different. Instead of just releasing a new song from her upcoming album Strange Mercy (due out 9/13), she had the idea of unlocking video teasers (four in total), one at a time. As more and more people tweeted about #strangemercy, the videos would culminate into being able to hear the first single. Seriously a great idea!

Summer Camp | "Better Off Without You" [Stream]

Just last month we were treated to a new song ("Nobody Knows You") by Summer Camp. This time the duo has released another new track (listen to "Better Off Without You" down below) off their debut album, which is still in need of helping to fund. If you donate, the band has a list of creative exclusives you can pick from: a signed album, an acoustic gig in your living room, a dinner party prepared by them, or have them write a song about you. There's many more too. So go help them out.

Bon Iver | "Come Talk To Me" (Peter Gabriel Cover) [Stream]

Bon Iver Announce The Release of New Single, 'Holocene'
We've already heard Bon Iver cover Bonnie Raitt. On sale earlier this year as a limited edition Record Store Day exclusive, now everyone will get to buy/hear Justin Vernon covering Peter Gabriel's "Come Talk To Me". The track will accompany the second single "Holycene" (out 9/5 via 4AD) from the brilliant Calgary. (via)
