Giveaway: Free Press Summerfest 2012 | Houston, Texas

Now that all of the distraction of SXSW has finally subsided and Austin City Limits months away it's time to shift focus to Houston, Texas' Free Press Summer Fest to satisfy our festival needs during the long summer. Taking place on June 2 and 3rd at Eleanor Tinsley Park the line up includes The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon,Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Major Lazer, Young The Giant, Portugal. The Man, Two Door Cinema Club, Morris Day and the Time, Best Coast, Diplo, Shabazz Palaces, Starfucker in addition to a healthy showing of Austin artists including Ume, Quiet Company and Zorch. If you remember, back in June we mentioned the Free Press Summer Fest, which is taking place in Houston this weekend as well, on August 8th & 9th. The lineup includes Broken Social Scene, Explosions in the Sky, Of Montreal, The Octopus Project, The Sword, Voxtrot, Ume, and many many more. By the way, tickets are extremely cheap, with two day passses going for $16. You can find more info at the official site.

Free Press Summer Fest | August 8th & 9th, 2009

Free Press Houston are throwing down a two day Summer Fest this August 8th and 9th at Eleanor Tinsley Park in Houston, TX. Tickets are at $7 for each day or $12 for both days if you prefer, which is basically nothing.

Here's what we do know: there will be two stages, local artist booths, a craft beer garden, and a misting tent. Supposedly free water will be provided as well!
