Show Spotlight: Here We Go Magic at Emo's Tomorrow Night (8/4)

Here We Go Magic will be making their first of two stops in Austin tomorrow night. The band will also be in town supporting Dr.Dog on Nov. 12 but this is the headlining show and the one you shouldn't miss. The band has been on our radar for a while now and we even had them at our SXSW show in March. Since then they have played shows around the world along side White Rabbits and New Pornographers.

Here We Go Magic :: Daytrotter, Laundromatinee, Tour w/ Grizzly Bear

Here We Go Magic have had a fairly successful year so far. In addition to playing numerous venues around Austin during SXSW (including a WOXY session), they've spent the month of May making the rounds on Daytrotter and MOKB's Laundromatinee series.

Currently on tour with blog darlings Grizzly Bear, they'll both be joining us again here in Austin on June 16th at The Parish. We hope you have your tickets, cause this ones been SOLD OUT since early May! Great news though, both bands will be back to play this year's Austin City Limits Festival.

Grizzly Bear Announce 2009 North American Tour Dates :: w/ Austin dates

As you may have already heard, Grizzly Bear is set to release their third full-length album, Veckatimest on May 26th. The guys took the strange name for the album from an island in Dukes County, Massachusetts. The artwork was done by William J. O'brien. A few days ago, a terrible rip of the new album was leaked on the web and we're trying our damnest to fight the urge to find it and listen to it. We can wait. Hopefully.

If you'd like to get your chance to hear the album live, Grizzly Bear just announced their upcoming North American tour dates, including three stops here in Austin (two of them are for SXSW). Their final appearance here in Austin, will have them peforming at The Parish. Tickets for the all ages show are $20 and go on sale this Saturday (3/7) at 10 am.
