SXSW 2009 Recap : Little Boots at Perez Hilton's "One Night In Austin"

Little Boots was easily one of our favorite's this week. She has been covering Kid Cudi's "Day N Nite" track for a minute and when he came out to do an impromptu performance of the song with her you could tell they were both pretty nervous. Check out our video of it..

Kanye West at The FADER FORT?

We have been sitting on this one for a few days but today the rumors started circulating and we thought we would throw in our opinion. Or make the rumor worse?

Everyone is talking about Kanye West being the surprise guest on Saturday at The FADER Fort. The line up boast performances by Rick Ross, Jadakiss and others. But it's the last set of the show that makes this rumor seem like it might be true. From 8:30 - 11 they have it listed as "Good Music with Kid Cudi, Big Sean, GLC, Consequence, Really Doe, Tony Williams, Mr. Hudson and special guests".  GOOD MUSIC  just happens to be a label ran by none other than Mr.West and he has been heavily promoting Kid Cudi over the last few weeks and even appearing with him on occasion. Plus his DJ (A-Trak) is in town doing a couple of shows during the week.

We drove by the new venue last night and it looks like they have constructed a rather large stage and it's a lot bigger site than last year. Could this be true? Is he still rocking that mullet?

I might get there early Saturday.....

New Kid Cudi Video: "Day N Nite"

Kid Cudi's "Day N Nite" came out last year, but now we finally get an official video (directed by So Me) and it's a creative one. He'll be spitting rhymes at SXSW and we're hoping Wale joins him onstage.

Last Night: LA Riots at The Church (Denver, Co)

Do you remember where you where in 1992? Many of us were clued to our television sets watching the Los Angeles riots unfold right in front of our eyes. On Thursday night the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado witnessed a different form of LA Riots, this time in the form of the DJ super-group hailing from the left coast. On a bill that featured Kid Cudi, who ultimately cancelled last minute to be on BET’s 106 and Park show to debut his new video Day N’ Nite. Although many in the crowd were left out in the cold (literally) with Cudi’s cancellation, Daniel LeDisko of LA Riots turned the one-time gothic church venue into an all out dance party. With customary club banging remixes that are associated with the Los Angeles duo, the crowd seemed to enjoy hit after hit. Even the club dancers were dressed in scantily clad riot gear to celebrate the occasion. After a few songs the club seemed to forget that Kid Cudi had cancelled and let loose to the beat of one of the West Coast’s finest. Blending a mix of indie and electro Daniel ignited the floor with remixes of The Ting Tings and Stevie Nicks to name a few. Currently on tour the duo will return to Denver in April after a stint next month at SXSW where I’m sure I will see at a random day party enjoying the Texas heat.
