Don't know too much about this video but it does feature some backstage weirdness and some live footage (Gold Lion/Human Fly) from the side of the stage. There is also an interview with Nick Zinner about a Cramps cover they did but I can't understand what he is saying. Cool video though. Enjoy.

Muse is asked to use backing track during television performance. So they stick it to "The Man"

Muse were on the Italian Tv show "Quelli che il calcio" to promote their new single Uprising. The fun part is that they were forced to use a backup track with vocals and full instrumentation. That's when they decided to trade places and no one in the studio noticed. The host, Simona Ventura even calls Matt the drummer. Classic!

The Lennings release video for "Section C" | Play at Club Mixx tonight.

As we mentioned a few days ago The Lennings recently completed shooting a video for the track Section C. They sent it over to us and we thought we would share it with you. The band is playing a show tonight at 10pm at Club Mixx (6th and Red River). We haven't checked out the venue yet but they are working hard on booking live music these days. Definitely worth checking out.

Johnny Marr is in The Cribs now and that is probably the thing you will hear the most about this album aside from the fact that it is called Ignore The Ignorant. The video above is from the lead track called "Cheat On Me" and the album is due 9/8.

Julian Casablancas Q & A

As we mentioned a few weeks ago Julian Casablancas of The Strokes is prepping his debut solo effort Phrazes For The Young. So far the songs have been kept under wraps with only snippets being released. The newest comes from a Q&A session Julian did a few weeks ago. He talks up the new Strokes album and discusses his favorite bands (Beirut, Dirty Projectors and Beach House make the cut). Towards the end of the video you get to hear some of the new music, check it.

Been listening to Amanda Blank's new album for the last few days and can't get enough. We first caught wind of this girl when she came out with Spank Rock at SXSW 2008. She keeps company with not only Rock, but Diplo and Santigold who she opened for at Stubb's in June. The new album is called I Love You and is available now on Downtown Records. It also includes collaborations with Santi, Rock and our favorite Lykke Li.

Yeah Yeah Yeah's Short Film | Snakesweat

Remember those old sitcoms that would make fun of film students and it would show all this weird montages and in the end it say Fin. Well this is kinda like that only with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Officially described as mescaline infused and the YYY's playing severely warped versions of themselves. It's interesting to say the least and you can tell it was filmed on our old stomping grounds, the desert southwest...

Metric is definitely one of our favorite bands and even though we were less than impressed with their Letterman performance we thought everyone should check it out if they missed it. 'Help I'm Alive' is still a great track and we are thinking that Emily Haines was so subdued because she was nervous. The idea of a video leading up to the performance was a good idea though.
