Video: Beastie Boys | "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" featuring Santigold

Video: Amanda Blank "Might Like You Better"

Been listening to Amanda Blank's new album for the last few days and can't get enough. We first caught wind of this girl when she came out with Spank Rock at SXSW 2008. She keeps company with not only Rock, but Diplo and Santigold who she opened for at Stubb's in June. The new album is called I Love You and is available now on Downtown Records. It also includes collaborations with Santi, Rock and our favorite Lykke Li.

Last Night: Santigold @ Stubbs

Bacardi B-Live tour with Diplo, MSTRKRFT and Santigold and more (with Austin Date)

We are still trying to get more details but wanted to give heads up on this ridiculously good line up. Diplo will be performing with Switch in the duos new group Major Lazer. Santigold, A-Trak, MSTRKRFT, Jazzy Jeff, Tiga, and Matt and Kim fill out the line up. They haven't listed anything yet and although this would be a dream line up I can't imagine how they would pull it off logistically. More than likely certain line ups performing on select dates. Either way whoever we get will certainly be worth checking out. As soon as we see who is playing the Austin date we will update. I hope we get Jazzy Jeff personally....

In other news Diplo and Switch, who have been working under the new moniker Major Lazer, just created a new MySpace page. They killed at The FADER Fort during SXSW (pictured above) and the new page has artwork, new tracks and a video. Check it out. Listen to [Major Lazer]

Oh and as we mentioned before Santigold will be in Austin (minus free rum) on June 15th.

Update: The Austin show has been moved to Speakeasy, more info here.

N.A.S.A. :: "Gifted" Video (feat. Kanye West, Santigold, Lykke Li)

Unfortunately, it just wasn't in the cards for us to see N.A.S.A. at SXSW this year. Bummer!

Santigold Announces 2009 North American Tour Dates :: w/ Austin date

Last year, there was quite a buzz in the blogosphere for newcomer Santogold Santigold. We took in her show at last year's FADER SXSW party and knew there was something special about her. 2008 was definitely her year, as she was everywhere from working with Jay-Z, to opening up for Coldplay, and even had a song used in a Bud Light commercial.

Santigold is taking to the road beginning with an appearance tomorrow at Miami's Ultra Music Festival and in June she'll be returning here in Austin to play at Stubb's. No word on ticket prices or when they go onsale, but we'll let you know.
